How to Set Up Your SalesKey Account

Getting Started
Feb 20, 2026

Welcome to SalesKey! This guide walks you through setting up your workspace from scratch so your team can start tracking deals as quickly as possible.

Step 1: Complete Your Profile

After signing up, the first thing to do is complete your profile.

  1. Click your avatar in the top-right corner
  2. Select Profile Settings
  3. Add your full name, job title, and phone number
  4. Upload a profile photo (optional but recommended for team collaboration)
  5. Click Save Changes

Step 2: Set Up Your Workspace

Your workspace is the central hub for your entire team. To configure it:

  1. Go to Settings → Workspace
  2. Enter your company name and upload your company logo
  3. Set your timezone — this ensures activity timestamps and reminders are accurate for your location
  4. Set your default currency if you track deal values

Step 3: Create Your First Sales Pipeline

A pipeline represents your sales process from first contact to closed deal.

  1. Go to Settings → Pipelines
  2. Click + New Pipeline
  3. Give your pipeline a name (e.g., "Main Sales Pipeline")
  4. Add your stages by clicking + Add Stage

A good starting pipeline for most teams:

Stage Purpose
New Lead Prospect has been identified
Contacted First outreach made
Qualified Budget, authority, need confirmed
Proposal Sent Proposal or quote delivered
Negotiation Terms being discussed
Closed Won Deal signed
Closed Lost Deal did not proceed
  1. Drag stages to reorder them
  2. Click Save Pipeline

Tip: You can create multiple pipelines if your team manages different types of deals (e.g., one for new business, one for renewals).

Step 4: Configure Your Deal Fields

Custom fields let you capture the information that matters to your specific sales process.

  1. Go to Settings → Custom Fields
  2. Select Deals from the dropdown
  3. Click + Add Field
  4. Choose the field type (Text, Number, Date, Dropdown, etc.)
  5. Name the field and click Save

Common custom fields for sales teams:

  • Industry
  • Deal Source (Referral, Inbound, Outbound, etc.)
  • Contract Length
  • Renewal Date

Step 5: Set Up Notifications

Stay on top of important activity without checking the app constantly.

  1. Go to Settings → Notifications
  2. Enable email notifications for:
    • Deal stage changes
    • Upcoming activity reminders
    • Idle deal alerts (deals with no activity for X days)
  3. Choose your preferred notification frequency
