Subscription and Billing

The Subscription section lets you manage your SalesKey plan, view invoices, update your payment method, and manage user seats.

Navigate to: Settings > Subscription

Admin only: Subscription management requires administrator permissions.


Viewing Your Current Plan

Go to Settings > Subscription to see:

  • Your current plan name and features
  • Billing interval (monthly or yearly)
  • Current period end date
  • Subscription status (Active, Trialing, Canceled)

Trial Period

New organizations may start with a free trial. During the trial:

  • You have access to all (or most) plan features.
  • No payment is required until the trial ends.
  • The trial end date is shown in the Subscription page.

After the trial ends, a valid payment method is required to continue.


Payment Methods

Adding a Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Click Add Payment Method.
  3. Enter your card details (processed securely via Stripe).
  4. Click Save.

Updating a Payment Method

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Find your current payment method.
  3. Click Update or Replace.
  4. Enter the new card details.
  5. Click Save.

Billing Intervals

  • Monthly — Billed every month.
  • Yearly — Billed once a year, typically at a discounted rate.

To switch intervals, contact SalesKey support or use the plan upgrade flow.


Managing Seats

Seats control how many users can access specific modules:

Seat Type Enables Access To
Leads Leads module
Deals Deals module
Projects Projects module
Timesheets Timesheets module

Purchasing Additional Seats

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Find the Seats section.
  3. Click + Add Seats for the relevant seat type.
  4. Select the quantity.
  5. Confirm the additional cost.
  6. Click Purchase.

Assigning Seats to Users

  1. Go to Settings > Users.
  2. Edit the user.
  3. Assign the appropriate seat type(s).
  4. Save.

Users without the required seat cannot access the restricted module.


Invoices

Viewing Invoice History

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Find the Invoices section.
  3. View a list of all past invoices with dates and amounts.

Downloading an Invoice

  1. Find the invoice in the list.
  2. Click Download PDF to get a printable/saveable invoice.

Upcoming Invoice

You can view the expected next charge in the Subscription page under Upcoming Invoice.


Applying a Coupon or Promo Code

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Find the Coupon or Promo Code section.
  3. Enter your code and click Apply.
  4. If valid, the discount will appear on your next invoice.

Viewing Usage and Limits

Your plan includes limits on:

  • Storage (file attachments)
  • Number of records (contacts, deals, etc.)
  • API calls (for integrations)
  • Number of users

View your current usage against these limits in Settings > Subscription > Usage.

You will receive warnings as you approach limits. Upgrade your plan to increase limits.


Canceling Your Subscription

  1. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  2. Click Cancel Subscription.
  3. Read the cancellation details — your data remains accessible until the end of the current billing period.
  4. Confirm the cancellation.

After cancellation:

  • Your account remains active until the current period ends.
  • No further charges are made.
  • You can reactivate at any time.

Reactivating a Canceled Subscription

  1. Log in to SalesKey.
  2. Go to Settings > Subscription.
  3. Click Reactivate Subscription.
  4. Confirm your payment method.
  5. Your subscription resumes immediately.

Grace Period

After a subscription lapses (missed payment or cancellation), there may be a grace period during which you retain access. After the grace period expires, access is restricted until the subscription is renewed.
