Navigation Overview

Getting Started
Apr 10, 2026

SalesKey uses a collapsible sidebar for navigation. This guide helps you quickly understand where everything is.

The Sidebar

The left sidebar is your main navigation. It can be collapsed to give more screen space by clicking the collapse icon at the top.

Section What It's For
Dashboard Overview of your key metrics, KPIs, and widgets
Inbox Integrated email — send and receive emails inside SalesKey
Leads Manage potential opportunities early in the sales process
Deals Track active sales opportunities through your pipeline
Projects Manage work deliverables, tasks, and project boards
Activities Log and view calls, meetings, tasks, notes, and your calendar
Contacts Your database of people and organizations
Timesheets Track and manage time entries and hours
Reports Analytics and performance reports
Settings Configure the system, manage users, roles, and preferences

Not all sections may be visible to you — your administrator controls access based on your role.

The Top Bar

The top bar provides quick access to several tools:

  • Global Search — Search across contacts, deals, leads, projects, and activities. Click the search icon or press the keyboard shortcut to open it.
  • Timer — If time tracking is enabled for your account, a timer icon lets you start/stop time entries from anywhere.
  • Notifications — The bell icon shows your unread notifications count. Click to open the notification center.
  • Profile Menu — Click your avatar in the bottom-left corner to access your profile settings, switch organizations, or log out.

Dark Mode

SalesKey supports dark mode. To toggle it:

  1. Click your profile avatar in the bottom-left corner.
  2. Toggle the dark mode switch.

Your preference is saved per user.

Sections That Require a Connected Email

The Inbox section is only available after you connect an email account (Gmail or Outlook). If you see a prompt to connect your email, go to Inbox and follow the connection steps. See Connecting an Email Account.

Permission-Based Navigation

Some sections may be hidden or read-only depending on your role:

  • Only administrators can access full Settings.
  • Some reports or dashboards may be restricted by role.
  • Features like Leads, Deals, Projects, and Timesheets require specific seat types assigned by your administrator.

If a section you expect to see is missing, contact your administrator to verify your role and permissions.

Keyboard Shortcuts

SalesKey supports keyboard shortcuts for faster navigation. Hover over interactive elements to discover available shortcuts, or check your Settings for a full list.
