Account Setup
When you log into SalesKey for the first time as an organization owner, the Setup Wizard will guide you through configuring your account before you can use the platform.
Setup Wizard Steps
Step 1: Company Information
Fill in your company's basic details:
- Company Name — The name of your organization as it will appear throughout the system.
- Company Email — The primary contact email for your organization.
- Company Phone — Your organization's main phone number.
- Address — Street address, city, state/province, postal code, and country.
Click Next to continue.
Step 2: Localization
Configure how dates, times, and currency are displayed:
- Currency — Select your primary operating currency (e.g., USD, EUR, GBP). This will be the default for all deals, leads, and projects.
- Timezone — Set your local timezone so that activities and timestamps are displayed correctly.
- Date Format — Choose how dates appear (e.g., MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY).
- Time Format — Choose 12-hour or 24-hour format.
Click Next to continue.
Step 3: Timesheet Settings
Configure time tracking for your team:
- Allow Manual Entry — Let team members manually add timesheet entries without a running timer.
- Allow Timer Entry — Enable the built-in timer so team members can track time in real time.
You can change these settings later in Settings > Company Preferences.
Click Next to continue.
Step 4: Payment Method
Add a payment method to activate your SalesKey subscription:
- Enter your card number, expiry date, and CVV.
- Your card will be billed according to your selected plan.
- You can view and manage your subscription later in Settings > Subscription.
Click Next to continue.
Step 5: Sample Data (Optional)
To help you explore SalesKey, you can load sample data into your account:
- Select your industry (e.g., Software, Real Estate, Healthcare, Marketing).
- SalesKey will generate realistic sample contacts, leads, deals, and projects tailored to that industry.
- This data can be deleted at any time once you are ready to use real data.
Click Finish to complete setup and enter your dashboard.
After Setup
Once setup is complete, we recommend:
- Invite your team — Go to Settings > Users and send invitations to your colleagues.
- Create roles — Define roles and permissions in Settings > Roles to control what team members can access.
- Set up your pipeline — Configure your sales pipeline stages in Settings > Deal Pipelines.
- Connect your email — Link Gmail or Outlook in the Inbox section to start tracking email communications.
- Customize fields — Add custom fields for leads, deals, and contacts in Settings > Fields.
Updating Company Settings Later
You can update any of these settings at any time by going to Settings > Company Preferences.
