Customizing Dashboard Widgets

Dashboard
Apr 10, 2026

You can fully customize your dashboard by adding, removing, resizing, and rearranging widgets to show the information that matters most to you.

Navigate to: Dashboard > Edit (or the dashboard editor)

Entering Edit Mode

  1. Go to your Dashboard.
  2. Click the Edit or Customize button (pencil icon or gear icon).
  3. The dashboard enters edit mode — you will see handles and controls on each widget.

Adding a Widget

  1. While in edit mode, click + Add Widget.
  2. A widget gallery opens showing all available widget types.
  3. Click on a widget to add it to the dashboard.
  4. The widget appears on the dashboard, often at the bottom.

Configuring a Widget

After adding a widget (or to edit an existing one):

  1. Click the Settings icon (gear or configure icon) on the widget.
  2. A configuration panel opens. Depending on the widget type, you can set:
    • Title — Custom name for the widget
    • Data Source — What data to display (deals, leads, activities, etc.)
    • Filters — Narrow down by status, assignee, pipeline, etc.
    • Visualization Type — Chart type (line, bar, pie)
    • Date Range — Fixed or follow dashboard filter
    • Columns — For table widgets, which columns to show
  3. Click Save or Apply to confirm.

Resizing Widgets

  1. In edit mode, find the resize handle at the bottom-right corner of the widget.
  2. Click and drag to make the widget larger or smaller.
  3. Widgets snap to a grid — they will align automatically.

Rearranging Widgets

  1. In edit mode, click and hold the widget's drag handle (usually at the top of the widget).
  2. Drag the widget to a new position on the dashboard.
  3. Other widgets will shift to accommodate.

Removing a Widget

  1. In edit mode, click the Remove or X button on the widget.
  2. Confirm the removal.

Removing a widget only removes it from this dashboard — you can add it back at any time.

Saving Your Dashboard Layout

  1. After making all changes, click Save or Done to exit edit mode.
  2. Your layout is saved and will persist across sessions.

Resetting a Dashboard

If you want to start fresh:

  • Create a new dashboard instead of modifying the current one.
  • Alternatively, remove all widgets and re-add the ones you want.

Widget Availability

Not all widgets may be available to you:

  • Widget availability may be restricted by your subscription plan.
  • Your administrator may have limited which widgets certain roles can use.
  • Contact your administrator if a widget you need is not in the gallery.

Tips for an Effective Dashboard

  • Less is more — A focused dashboard with 5–8 relevant widgets is more useful than one crammed with data.
  • Group related metrics — Put pipeline metrics near each other, activity metrics near each other.
  • Larger widgets for key metrics — Give your most important stat cards more space so they are easier to read.
  • Different dashboards for different contexts — Create a daily operations dashboard and a separate monthly review dashboard.
