Managing Organizations

The Organizations section stores company and business records in your CRM. Organizations can be linked to individual people (contacts) and to deals, leads, and projects.

Navigate to: Contacts > Organizations


Adding a New Organization

  1. Click + New Organization in the top right.
  2. Fill in the company details:
    • Company Name (required)
    • Email — Primary email address
    • Phone — Primary phone number
    • Website — Company website URL
    • Address — Street, city, state/province, postal code, and country
    • Status — e.g., Prospect, Customer (configurable by your admin)
    • Custom Fields — Additional fields your admin has configured
  3. Click Save to create the organization.

Viewing an Organization's Profile

Click on any organization's name to open its profile. The profile shows:

  • Contact Information — Email, phone, website, and full address
  • People — All individual contacts linked to this organization (employees)
  • Activities — All activities associated with this organization
  • Leads — Leads linked to this organization
  • Deals — Active and past deals for this company
  • Projects — Related projects
  • Notes — Internal notes from your team
  • Emails — Email correspondence history
  • Change Log — Full audit trail of all changes
  • Attachments — Documents and files uploaded to the organization

Editing an Organization

  1. Open the organization's profile.
  2. Click Edit or click on the field you want to update.
  3. Save your changes.

Linking People to an Organization

To link an existing person as an employee of the organization:

  1. Open the organization's profile.
  2. Go to the People section.
  3. Click Add Person and search for the contact.
  4. Select the person to link them.

Alternatively, when creating or editing a person, you can set their Organization field to link them.


Filtering Organizations

Use the Filters button to narrow down the list by:

  • Status
  • Created date
  • Custom field values

Use the Search bar to find organizations by name, email, or phone.


Bulk Actions

  1. Select multiple organizations using the checkboxes.
  2. Use the Bulk Actions menu to update status, assign, or delete.

Deleting and Restoring an Organization

To delete:

  1. Open the organization or select it in the list.
  2. Click Delete and confirm.

Deleted organizations can be restored by an administrator from Settings > Restore. Note that deleting an organization does not delete the linked people — they remain in the system as unlinked contacts.


Tips

  • Keep organizations updated so that people records are always associated with the right company.
  • Use custom fields to track industry, company size, or other information relevant to your business.
  • Link organizations to deals and projects for a complete client view.
